Q Tell us about your career path to date.
QIt was whilst studying for my degree in Industrial Psychology that I got introduced to the exciting world of cosmetics and retail. I started working part time at my local department store on the Aramis Counter and quickly realised that I enjoyed the customer interaction and the feeling that I was contributing to the team sales target. I applied for a full time Counter manager role as soon as I could and loved my 2 years in the role. The travel bug bit me and after months of travelling decided to make London my base but I missed my time with the ELC and I returned to be the Business Manager in Harvey Nichols London for Clinique. From there I got promoted to Sales and Education Executive and covered areas from the South East to London. I jumped at the chance for another promotion when the first Regional Sales Manager’s role for MAC got posted. Whilst in this Regional role, I also took on National Account responsibilities for Selfridges and Debenhams. This eventually led to my secondment of covering the role of National Sales Director for a year, which in turn set me up with a host of skills to enable me to take on the role of Brand Manager for Smashbox!
Q What do you love most about working within Estee Lauder Companies?
QThe people! Everyone really cares about their brand, their team and colleagues. It can be a very competitive business with high demands from retailers and customers, but we still manage to have fun and every day you learn something new from your colleagues. 
Q What does your current role involve?
QI am responsible for motivating and guiding the teams within the brand that make it a success. I am there to help clarify the strategic focus of the Sales, Marketing, PR and Training departments, ensuring it is in line with Smashbox Global and the UK ELC Regional goals. 
Q What inspired you to work within Estee Lauder Companies?
QMy first experience with the company inspired me to return. It felt like being part of a family and on top of that I got to play with and sell great products too! When I returned to the company years later, the same feeling was still there and remarkably it keeps getting even better over time. 
Q What is your must-have product and why?
QSmashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer – to help my foundation last all day through many meetings and Photo Finish Primer Water to give me instant hydration and radiance when there is no time to refresh my make up!
